YOU are Someone Special

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and all month long there is a very special event going on over at Splitcoaststampers. It’s one of THE most looked forward to events of the year because it’s not only fun, but you can make a difference, too. What’s the event? HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO, of course.

And, here’s something really kind of exciting for ME…I’m going to be a hostess for the first time! Woohoo! But, I’m not going to say when. You’re just going to have to to play to find out. MUAAHAHA!!! (Yep..bribery.)

I made one of today’s challenge cards in advance because I really loved Beate’s theme of “Rays of Hope” – to use a grey background with a pop of color. And I’m hoping to get Lydia’s in before today is over. (I had a little washing machine accident that slowed me down, though. Ack!) These challenges are so super fun and go to benefit the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for those affected by breast cancer. Seriously, please play along. It’s SUCH a good cause!

I love how this card looks IRL soooo much better than in the picture. *sigh* I really did blend all the colors together, I promise! So bizarre that it looks all wonky and unblended, but I decided to go for it anyway and embrace the wonky. :D Nothing in life is perfect anyway. And this card will make someone’s day that really needs it. Honestly? THAT is all that matters.

Wishing you all a wonderfully wonky day!
