What’s New, etc.

Hi there! Belated Merry Christmas!! Happy New Year!! And everything else I’ve missed since I last posted. New Year, new attitude. Hope that with the changes upcoming on the site that I’l be a more regular blogger. (Cross your fingers for me, okay? haha!)

Since you can tell my site IS under construction I hope that you’re all excited to see what’s going to be happening around here. I know *I* am!! Having someone like Britta working on my site that’s also a member of the crafty community is a huge blessing, let me tell ya. But, I must say a massive thank you to Sarah who worked so tirelessly in getting me off the ground in the first place. Love you, girl.

Tomorrow I start a fabby new class with Online Card Classes Have you taken any of their classes? If not, you should!! Worth every stinkin’ penny. And they’re cheap anyway. (Plus, you have lifetime access even when the class is over.) Tomorrow’s class is the beginning of Clean and Simple Cardmaking – 2.

I need this class. If you know me, then you know that CAS is NOT my forte’. I’ve made this style of card, but it’s not really what I’m good at. Well, my opinion anyway. I always feel like it needs “more”. Y’know? So, in an effort to get read for tomorrow’s class… I MADE A CARD!!!

CASThinkingOfYou

I know. Shocking. Not sure how I feel about it, truthfully, but there are elements that I love. The way the butterfly die cuts turned out, for example. When I ran the piece through my die-cutting machine to emboss-only the circle nestability the butterflies were “pressed” through their cut-outs. Love that!!

If you haven’t signed up for the class, you should really think about it. Great teachers, videos, discounts AND prizes. But what you learn is the best part of it all, which is priceless. Hope to see you there!!

All the best,
Lisa ♥

* Note: Other Washi tapes were purchased at a teeny store in Maine in Oct. 2011. :)

This is perfect! I LOVE the butterflies! And I also really like how you used the Nestie.. most people use it the other way (triple-lined frame, instead of double, like yours), and I don’t really care for the look, personally… but THIS way, I LIKEY. :D

Note to self: add that butterfly die to the must-have list. Your card is perfection. P.S. The new blog design is looking fab.
