Mom’s Birthday

It was my Mom’s Birthday yesterday. And I made her a card. :) It’s what I do. The card that I made for her is today’s blog post in the CLASSroom for Ellen Hutson, LLC. I’ve actually been working on the card for a while since I really wanted it to be special. There’s some things you need to know about my mom…

My mom is my chauffeur (since I can’t drive), she is who I talk to every day (either by text or by phone) — she keeps me grounded. My mom makes me laugh. She gives me a shoulder to cry on when I need it. Even if she doesn’t understand what’s going on. She hasn’t gone into her “golden years” gracefully. She’s gone kicking and screaming, dancing, and laughing. And I wanted to make my mom a birthday that would make her smile.

I made this card for her to let her know that I celebrate her every day. And that her birthday is just one more day to tell her I love her.

The card for my Mom’s Birthday can be seen today in the CLASSroom along with the full tutorial on how to make it, if you should want to see my process. (With the exception of my coloring process – yaaawwwn!)

All of the supplies that I used to make this card I have listed below along with a few alternatives. If any of the items are currently out of stock with, you can request to be put on the waitlist for the item for when it comes back in stock (love that feature!).

I hope that you like today’s card and that it makes you smile as much as it makes ME smile. :)

Hi Lisa ~ I have no doubt that your Mom loves this card. You’ve created a frame-worthy gift from the heart. I just got this stamp in the mail yesterday (I finally caved!!) and hope that I can create something half as beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.
