Beautiful Butterflies

Hi! Didya miss me? I missed you, too. ((hugs)) :)

Thought I’d show you a little card I made today for Eddy’s youngest niece’s birthday. I have a feeling it will be a little bit late, but I hope that she likes it when she DOES get it.

I used my all time fave Martha Stewart butterfly punch and some really fun MME Miss Caroline – Dolled Up paper to set the tone of the card. Everything else just fell into place after that.  I think this is so sweet and girly!

I didn’t want the butterflies to be in a “pattern”, so when I adhered them to the vellum cardstock I made sure to place them as randomly as possible, but leaving some white space on the right. The sentiment from Lawn Fawn is just too cute, don’t you think?  Little details like using a shimmery gel pen for the butterfly “bodies”, a single rhinestone, a beautiful button, and baker’s twine really make this card special. I hope she likes it.

Wishing you all a very wonderful and blessed week! Thanks for having a look. :)

All my best,

I Made a Card!

In the depths of everything that’s going on with my family, well, birthdays still happen and I needed to make a card for Eddy’s eldest niece.  So, even though I really, really, REALLY feel like my creative juices aren’t flowing I just couldn’t fathom the thought of sending her a store bought card.

While the card I made isn’t over-the-top with excitement I do like the fresh, soft colors and the mix of patterns.  Cutting the sweet jar out of a piece of patterned paper added just the right focal point.  After I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment I spritzed a few shimmery mists on the jar to add a little additional sparkle and shine.  All-in-all I think it’s a cute card for an 18-year-old. What do you think?

I’m also going to try to make a card for my dad today, too. Just to let him know that I’m thinking of him while all of this is going on with my Grandma. It’s not easy to have a loved one be in their last stages of life.  It’s hard on all of us, but especially for her sons. :(

Anyway…thanks for stopping by. And if anyone is still reading my blog? I can’t thank you enough.  It means the world to me. ♥

All my best,

Happiest Day, My Crooked Friend

Today is the day that we celebrate the birth of Leslie – The Crookedstamper. To some of you she may be a crafty, funny, grammatically gifted, sometimes “stabby” (*wink*) , but always generous gal. To me? She is friend, trusted confidante, shoulder, loyal soul, laughter and ultimate sweetie-head.

She also loves green. Like me. I hope that on this birthday she knows how very much she is loved and cherished.

Happy Birthday, sweet Leslie. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxox

I decided today I’m going to share my birthday with all of YOU! Free Smiley Courtesy of WOOOOOOOO!!!! Instead of doing Blogaversary blog candy, I decided to give stuff away for my Birthday. How fun is that? I think it’s pretty darn fun.

I bought a few stamp sets at CHA. This really great one from Courtney Baker (which can also be purchased directly from her –> Practicing Creativity Designs:

Isn’t that great? Valentine’s, friendship, just an all-around fun set.

The other set that I purchased is a super cute set from the really talented folks over at Taylored Expressions. This is a set in which a portion of the profits from the sale of the set goes to charity (in this case the Eden Project).

(For more details on this set click HERE ).

I will be including a bag of GORGEOUS buttons from the fabulous DeNami Design with each stamp set! How cool is THAT?! Are you getting excited yet? I hope so.

Here’s a peek at some of their eye-popping buttons…. so pretty.

OK….now if both those pretty stamp sets and those yummy buttons weren’t enough I have one more thing up my sleeve. Are you ready?

This is an update from last night an earlier today, but the PHENOMENAL Heidi from Simon Say Stamp is sponsoring my Blog Candy and has generously offered this voucher!! So follow, comment & win! :) And check out their awesome store! Simon Says Stamp!

YAY!!! I hope you’re all on board with my birthday celebration NOW!! HAHHA!!!
