Hey everyone! I have no idea if my blog is working or not. So sorry. BUT…I am trying to post today anyway because it’s a super special day.  I’m part of the Inklipse 1000 Subscriber Blog Hop and I’m representing Team Ellen Hutson, LLC in the CLASSroom!

Blog hop banner 2How fun, right?! I’m so excited to be a part of this hop, buuuuutttt….you HAVE to go to the CLASSroom to hop along or start at Simon’s blog and hop from there!

Here is the card that I created to help Simon celebrate his “Inklipse 1000 Subscriber Blog Hop”!!

Hello, and welcome to the Essentials by Ellen Holiday 2015 Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today!

Thankful

There is also a Grand Giveaway in The CLASSroom! To enter, be sure to leave a comment there, and at every stop along the hop by August 11th, 2015; winners will be announced by the weekend! ** please see disclaimer at the bottom of the post. **

Here’s a look at TWO of the cards that I created for this super special hop. This first card uses the Thankful stamp set (and matching dies – sold separately)

LisaAdametz-Thankful4You-1

For this card I stamped the images using Archival Ink and water-colored the images prior to die-cutting them. I love using different shades of watercolor pencils to create depth and shadows. I use my fingers, a rag, or paper towel to blend or pick up color.

To give the pumpkin and gourds extra dimension I applied different layers of foam squares behind them. The square panel was created by die-cutting first, then using a stencil and Gold Texture Luxe™ with a palette knife.

The sentiment is stamped with an embossing ink and then heat set with a gold embossing powder for extra shine.

For my next card I use the beautiful new set Mistletoe & Holly (and again the matching die set).

LisaAdametz-BeMerry-1

I stamped the background first using an embossing ink and heat set with a white embossing powder. Then I created the rest of the background using a variety of metallic Gelatos®. To create depth I, again, used the watercolor pencils. Using the Stamper’s Big Brush Pens around the Poinsettia’s while the paper is damp will also give it depth and dimension.

Adding teensy amounts of liquid glue to the centers of the poinsettias allowed me to add some beautiful Cranberry Glitter Ritz Glitter. It’s soooo pretty!

I love to add stamping to heavy-weight vellum, so this is where I decided to add my sentiment. It also allows for some of the background to show through. Using a platinum embossing powder as opposed to silver is a nice change.

Stamping an additional poinsettia and some leaves (and die-cutting them) to use as an embellishment along with some sequins finishes off this card.

I hope you like both of my cards! I had so much fun creating them.

Your next stop on this AWESOME hop is the amazingly talented Sandy Allnock!

I have a couple of fun things to share with you today. My tag uses the brand new Be-YOU-tiful die. This is such a fun and versatile die! I die cut it twice. Once with a deep, dark navy blue cardstock and once out of a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® 3D Foam Creative Sheets. I burnished some gold foil on top of the die-cut adhesive sheet (once the liner was removed, of course) and then peeled the backing layer off of the back and slightly off-set it before pressing it down on top of the blue cardstock.

Onto my second card. Isn’t it pretty? And so simple. First I created my watercolor panel. I love doing this. It is so amazingly relaxing. Picking the colors I wanted to use is always the hardest part.  For this card I used the beautiful Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36-Piece Watercolor set. It is amaaaaaazing! *sigh*

Now, I MUST talk about this seriously gorgeous flower. The Mondo Magnolia is drop-dead, *thud* amazing! And there is a matching die...for ALL of the pieces!! ACK!! I stamped it onto cardstock weight vellum with Versamark and heat set it with a stunning fine, white embossing powder. Then I used the matching die to only cut the outline.  And those gold flecks? Again, I used gold foil. Yep! I applied a strong adhesive (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Adhesive Sheets used here) in random areas and then just pressed the gold foil on top. Super simple and it totally completes this look. I flicked some of the remaining watercolor on top of the flower and added some more of the Gold Texture Gems™ to the center.

Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.

Hi! And Happy Monday. :) Today I have a brand new canvas that I made for a Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.  and the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Design Team. It’s a little bit darker than my usual stuff but I wanted to use the Chalkboard Paint as my background. I really like how this piece turned out, even though it’s NOT my norm.

Here’s a great peek of what to expect:

LisaAdametz-ButterflyDots-4

So much going on! I love using all the Textural Accents that Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® has to offer. They make it so easy to Mix & Match. And the Canvas Corp. Canvas was so awesome! So thrilled to have been able to play with their products. Blog hops are the best, aren’t they?

Be sure to stop by each day to see what each team has going on. I have a full tutorial for how I created my project today. (Including my little tale of oh-woe-is me. Lol!) This Blog Hop with Canvas Corp. and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® is sure to be a good one. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
