Chalkboard Canvas

Today is a two post day! First up is a Chalkboard Canvas for the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® blog. Lots of texture-y goodness on this creepy canvas.

October seems to be the month for showcasing Halloween projects and, as I state over and over, while I dislike Halloween the projects are fun to make. This one was no exception. The Chalkboard Paint on the canvas provided the perfect backdrop for all the other textural accents. And after adding a super spooky rub-on and some scary text it’s a perfect home decor item, too!

This Chalkboard Canvas was very easy to make and using all of the other Textural Accents was a lot of fun, too. I love it when projects like this come together. Be sure to check out the full post on the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® Blog for the step-by-step tutorial and photos.

I hope that you enjoy this piece as much as I did and go on over to see how I made it. :)

Halloween Tag for Ellen Hutson

Happy Tuesday! I have a Halloween Tag for my #TexturalTuesdays feature with Ellen Hutson and the CLASSroom. The post is a full tutorial on how to create the Halloween Tag below. It’s full of texture and all sorts of tips and tricks. You won’t want to miss out.

Isn’t that brick wall just the coolest? And the moon totally looks like the blood moon we just had! I love how that turned out and I had no idea it was going to do that. Such a happy accident!

While I have to admit that this is not my favorite “holiday” I did have a great time creating this Halloween Tag for Ellen Hutson and the CLASSroom. The #TexturalTuesdays feature is my baby, and if there’s anything you all are ever interested in seeing just let me know! :)

Oh! Don’t forget that ALL of the supplies are listed on the CLASSroom blog for this tag. Thanks!

Wearable Crafts Week – Design Memory Craft

Wearable Crafts Week Design Memory Craft

Hi crafty people! It’s Wearable Crafts Week  – Design Memory Craft on their blog all week long and today it’s MY turn on the blog. YAY!!! I’ll be showing how to turn a plain ‘ol tote bag into something completely fabulous.

Here’s a pic of the sad, plain tote bag before. I mean, it’s “okay”, but wait until you see the tutorial on the blog!!

Canvas Bag Before

Using a bunch of the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products to create a one-of-a-kind tote bag was so fun. Here’s what I created:

Mixed Media Card with Chalkboard Paint

Hi! I have a new card on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog today. It’s a Mixed Media card with Chalkboard Paint and the new Gelatos® and I had such a blast creating it. Sometimes things just flow, and this was  definitely one of those times.

I love everything about this card. I always feel weird saying that about my own cards. But the colors, the textures, and the stamp from Technique Tuesday all just work so well together.

Using the Chalkboard Paint in this fashion works so well as it dries matte. And the Texture Gems™ dry shiny. So using the two together is such a wonderful contrast. And the new Gelatos® are really beautiful, vivid colors.  There’s a full tutorial on the BLOG so please check it out to see how I created it.

I hope that you’ll all enjoy this Mixed Media card with Chalkboard Paint as much as I had creating it.

Have a great weekend!

Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.

Hi! And Happy Monday. :) Today I have a brand new canvas that I made for a Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.  and the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Design Team. It’s a little bit darker than my usual stuff but I wanted to use the Chalkboard Paint as my background. I really like how this piece turned out, even though it’s NOT my norm.

Here’s a great peek of what to expect:

So much going on! I love using all the Textural Accents that Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® has to offer. They make it so easy to Mix & Match. And the Canvas Corp. Canvas was so awesome! So thrilled to have been able to play with their products. Blog hops are the best, aren’t they?

Be sure to stop by each day to see what each team has going on. I have a full tutorial for how I created my project today. (Including my little tale of oh-woe-is me. Lol!) This Blog Hop with Canvas Corp. and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® is sure to be a good one. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
