I have a BOO-tiful Mixed Media piece to share with all you lovely people over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today and I just looooove how this turned out. This little beauty was created on a piece of 4″ x 6″ MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). It is so much cooler than what the picture looks like. It’s crackly, shiny, kinda funky, dimensional…all the things a good mixed media piece SHOULD be. I just love it.
Those skulls are just so shimmery!
I have a full step-by-step tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog showing you how to make this BOO-tiful Mixed Media piece and all you have to do is go there and check it out. Don’t be scared. ;) All the supplies from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® are listed on their blog and if you ever have any questions to any other products I used, please feel free to hit me up.
Have a super spooky Sunday!
Hi crafty friends! :) I can’t believe it’s already a new week (even though it’s already Tuesday!) I’m sooo super excited to be a part of a Blog Hop with Penny Black and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® today. I love Penny Black stamps. As most of you know and this week the ladies of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® are getting to play with some of their new Holiday releases. And let me just tell you? They are BEAUTIFUL! Swoooooon-worthy!
The two stamp sets I used for the sneak peek of my card below (gotta get ya over to the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog, right?!! ;) ) are Sprightly and Beauty of the Seasons.
So, go check out the card and get chance to win some really awesome goodies! I love blog hops. Don’t you? :)
In the depths of everything that’s going on with my family, well, birthdays still happen and I needed to make a card for Eddy’s eldest niece. So, even though I really, really, REALLY feel like my creative juices aren’t flowing I just couldn’t fathom the thought of sending her a store bought card.
While the card I made isn’t over-the-top with excitement I do like the fresh, soft colors and the mix of patterns. Cutting the sweet jar out of a piece of patterned paper added just the right focal point. After I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment I spritzed a few shimmery mists on the jar to add a little additional sparkle and shine. All-in-all I think it’s a cute card for an 18-year-old. What do you think?
I’m also going to try to make a card for my dad today, too. Just to let him know that I’m thinking of him while all of this is going on with my Grandma. It’s not easy to have a loved one be in their last stages of life. It’s hard on all of us, but especially for her sons. :(
Anyway…thanks for stopping by. And if anyone is still reading my blog? I can’t thank you enough. It means the world to me. ♥

All my best,
My sister is amazing. She is not only my sister, but is also my friend. She has a good and kind spirit. I know it may seem like, well, whoop-di-doo…”she’s your sister, of course you’re going to say these thing”, right? Well, we didn’t always get along.
Being in a military family we were forced to spend SO much time together and since there were just the two of us kids we really, REALLY got on each other’s nerves. We loved each other, but LOATHED each other, too. It got ugly at times.
When she joined the Air Force and I graduated high school something happened…we really became close. She continues to this day to lift my spirit and my soul in ways that no one else knows how to do.
My sister is a true child of God. And I am so very blessed that I have such a wonderful human being in my life.
I made this card for her for her birthday (which was on the 19th) just didn’t think to blog it. So I decided I would that today. My hope is that her birthday was as wonderful as she is.
Our “pet” name for each other is Seester. Next year she’s totally getting a card with that on it!! :D
I’m trying something new using InLinkz to show my supplies. A lot of crafty people are using it, just wondering if you all like it or not. Lemme know whatcha think, ok? :)
Happy Monday & have a great week.
All my best,
I’m taking a class with Online Card Classes with a few of my friends and a ton of other people that’s being taught by none other than Tim Holtz on the uses of all his fabulous products with Ranger. It’s called Creative Chemistry 101. Pretty fun!
We’re through week 1 right now and one of my very dear friends, Leslie (The Crooked Stamper), and I were talking on Twitter about the basics of blending with Distress Inks. Now, this is something that I don’t have much problem with. I’ve been doing blending for what feels like forever. But, not everyone feels comfortable with it. Sooooo….I told her I’d make a video. And? Well, in a nutshell… I did. It’s kinda long at a little over 8 minutes, but if you want to watch me blend with Distress Inks….
Here ya go!
So there ya have it! Complete with sound effects and all. :D My very first crafty video.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
All my best,
