Hello Sunshine

Happy Saturday! I have this pretty Hello Sunshine card up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today. It features one of my favorite products: pigment powders.  They are so versatile and can add shimmer and shine in a variety of ways.

Here is a peek at the Hello Sunshine card that I made for the blog today:

Use Distress Inks (or a similar water reactive dye ink) to create the base colors for the center sun ray by sponging on with a mini-ink blending tool and using water to “bleach” certain areas of color off.

Mix water with the pigment powder to create a very wet, shimmery mixture. Dip a paintbrush into the mixture and tap over the surface to create a splatter. When lightly dabbed off, this can create a bleached effect. Heat dry or allow to heat set. Do this for each pigment powder.

A focal piece such as this Sun Ray (Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Silver Linings by Julie Ebersole) is very easy to create, can be done using so many different colors, and with many different dies as well. And cheering someone up with a “Hello Sunshine” card could be just what they need when they need it most.

More information about this Hello Sunshine card may be found on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog . Thanks!! :)

Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I’m posting a card that I have over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today that’s part of the Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop. While my personal blog is not part of the hop, my work is, so I wanted to make sure that anyone that visits my blog checks out all the links, sponsors, and amazing artists that are listed on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog.

Without further ado, here is the card that I made using the beautiful stamps from Altenew:

I am using two wonderful stamp sets from Altenew: Botanical Garden and Painted Inspiration . (My Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products are listed in full on their blog.)

Autumn Tag

Hi! Thanks for joining me today. I’m so happy it’s almost Fall! I just wish the weather around here would cooperate. It’s soooo HOT! Anyway, I have a really fun Autumn tag to share with you over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog today. This is just a sneak peek, but I wanted you all to see just a little bit of what I had in store for you over there. ;)

There’s lots of color going on this tag. Color, shimmer, shine! And if you love the changing of the seasons, like *I* do, I hope you pop over to the blog to check it out. Autumn really is my very favorite time of year and I think this tag is a perfect reflection of what I love best. The yummy colors. Cozy, beautiful and warm.

Thanks for stopping by today!! HUGE hugs to you all…

PS – I’m having HUGE issues with WordPress, so please bear with me if you run into any issues. Thank you.

Dimensional Window Card

Hey there! Happy Sunday. :) I have a fun dimensional window card on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today.  It even comes complete with a snazzy tutorial that I made just for you…yes, YOU! :)

I wish you all could see just how cool this card is. The inside of the card fits perfectly into the front of the card. And the vellum sentiment doesn’t interfere in the slightest. It’s just so lovely. I may be a tad proud. Although, my photography skills are sorely lacking. Sorry. And…apparently I’m a vellum addict.

Anyway! Thanks for joining me today to see the window card I made. Tomorrow starts the Graphic 45 and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop that’s going on all week long. It’s going to be awesome. I’ll be up on Wednesday, but be sure to stay tuned all week long for giveaways!

I hope that you’ve all been enjoying my projects and cards on the Penny Black Blog. Well, I’m back for DAY THREE as Guest Designer.

As I’ve done for the first two days, I have another little sneak peek to share with you. Did you know that Penny Black makes AMAZING dies as well as stamps? THEY DO!! I just wish they made more. (Hint, hint. Are you listening PB Powers-that-be?)

Any ideas to what’s going on? Or what I’ve done? :) Their post goes live at midnight’ish PST (tonight – the 24th). I’m posting mine just a wee bit early. Since it IS a sneak peek. Gotta whet your appetite, right?

I hope to see and read your comments on their blog!
