Onto some craftiness!

I’m showcasing two stamp sets today.  Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Spa Day by Brandi Kincaid and Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Wonky Backdrops by Julie Ebersole.

The first card that I made just makes me giggle. I used Copic Markers to color the cutie from the Spa Day stamp set, the candle, some flowers and cucumbers. Then I used the coordinating die set and die cut them all out, plus the face mask. I also used the ARC Crafts Cherry wood Veneer Envelopes (what I had on hand) to die cut the mirror. Love that stuff and it makes the mirror more homey looking. The mirror’s bulbs were created using the 4mm Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh, and coloring them with a bright yellow Copic.

I also used the Essentials By Ellen Designer Dies by Brandi Kincaid Mirror, Mirror to create the mirror. The phenomenal quote is from the Spa Day Stamp Set.

My second card is a little bit different, but I hope you like it. I’m using the Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Wonky Backdrops by Julie Ebersole for this one.

The beautiful yellow cardstock was stamped in Versamark repetitively with the polka dots to form the background (using the MISTI) and then heat set using a clear embossing powder.

Then using the large dots from the set I used Distress Inks to create watercolor spots/blobs/dots. ;) Once dried, I stamped over them with Versamark using the sketchy wheel designs from the same set and heat embossed with a gold embossing powder. Using a stamped/heat embossed sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Mirror Mirror by Brandi Kincaid completed the card. I just love how graphic this card is and shows the many ways you can use the stamps from the Wonky Backdrops set.  It’s a keeper! HA!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. I know I had fun creating them. This is a really great release that has something for everyone. So onto your NEXT stop! The always amazing Sandy Allnock!! Enjoy her wonderful creativity and the rest of the hop.

If you get lost along the hop, please visit the CLASSroom blog for a complete list of all of the designers.

Ink Week

Hey there! It’s Ink Week over on the CLASSroom blog for Ellen Hutson and I’m so lucky to be able to feature Distress Inks on this #TexturalTuesday.

I had so much fun making this card. Lots of ink blending and the addition of Texture Paste. Very textural.

Let me show you the card and then tell you a little bit more about Ink Week.

Using the gold to bring out the colors underneath was something I’m hoping I pulled off. To me, being able to see the full image isn’t important, but to make the card/colors/imagery make you feel something. I hope that makes sense. This is one of the reasons I love mixed media so much. It’s not what you necessarily see, but what you feel that’s important.

For how I made the card, all of the details are on the CLASSroom blog. There are lots of photos and information for you, if you’d like to replicate the card.

Ellen is also doing a full-on Ink Week! All of the designers are featuring a different ink and how we use them in our posts. Not only that, she is running a wonderful promotion.

Click on the image above to be taken directly to the sale. I hope that you’ll take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to stock up on your inks!

This Ink Week is going to feature a lot of different ways to use your inks and many different styles so stay tuned for the whole week.

I’m including all of my supplies below for my project, some were purchased by me and some were provided for promotional purposes. These ARE affiliate links so if you choose to shop using the links below I do earn an itty-bitty commission from your purchase. This keeps me running! xo

Now onto the creativity! I am designing with a stamp set designed by Julie Ebersole for Ellen Hutson, LLC today. I am so very fortunate to be a member of this wonderful team of creative women. The stamp set I’m using today for my entire project is Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Brushstroke Christmas, by Julie Ebersole.

This card is created by embossing the “Peace on Earth” first and then doing the watercoloring. And additional stamping is done after so it is more subtle, but still seen. The white dots were stamped, but weren’t bright enough. I didn’t want them heat embossed so I just went over them with a white gel pen. (Some have a white pearl on top as an added embellishment.)

When completing the card and adding embellishments, sequins and rhinestones are used to keep the effect rather ethereal.

Here is a close up for you:

25 Days of Christmas Tags

25-days-of-christmas-tagsWelcome to day SEVEN of Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags!! Team Ellen Hutson is featured on her blog with our tags today. YAY!!

Tracey has some basic guidelines set up to win some fabulous prizes from the many sponsors, so make sure you read them and PLAY along!!

Now, here is the tag that I created for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags:

lisaadametz_25tagsofchristmas2016_ellenhutson

My tag uses some of the brand new dies from Ellen Hutson LLC. The Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Believe by Julie Ebersole has been insanely popular! And who can possibly resist the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Antlers by Julie Ebersole?

The antlers were die cut twice. First with Ellen Hutson Curious Metallic , Gold Leaf Cardstock then again and layered on top with the Tim Holtz Deco Sheets, Holiday 2016.  Using pretty paper, glittery accents, and (of course) a pom-pom red “nose” makes this tag a shabby shic success!

I hope you’ll play along and link up with your own tag creation for today’s inspiration by the Ellen Hutson Team. All of the creations are just amazing. I am so very fortunate to design with such a fabulously talented group of women.

Here are all of the supplies that I used, with affiliate links, if you’d care to shop with me. :)

Be Kind

I have a brand new #TexturalTuesdays project that I named “Be Kind” from the stencil I used on the CLASSroom blog today featuring ways to find your own texture around the house. This was a really fun little canvas for me to make and I hope that you will all enjoy it, too.

Finding new ways to create texture, especially from things that you just have lying around the house, is so much fun. Even if you’re just using it as a focal piece, as I did for two of my pieces on the canvas. But the fun part is that you can see from the pieces used (go to the BLOG ) how these items could be used in so many different ways.

Here is a sneak peek of the Be Kind canvas just to whet your appetite:

LisaAdametz-BeKind-03082016-3

I know you can’t tell much from this…it’s a TRUE sneak peek!! But, there’s actually a lot of texture right there. ;) Even just in the words “Be Kind”. I’m loving this sneaky thing. Hahha!!

In the supplies list you’ll be able to see what PRODUCTS I used but not the free stuff, so that won’t give it all away. I really do hope that you’ll check out the full post. It’s not too lengthy and I hope that you’ll find it useful. I know that if you’re a card-maker that enjoys making CAS cards that you may not be super interested in texture, but maybe you would want to use something you learn from the post for art journaling? And it’s really fun and not super messy…not too bad. :)

I hope that you all remember to Be Kind to yourselves first and foremost. It seems that we are all so busy trying to be nice to others we forget about ourselves. Be Kind to YOU. ♥

SUPPLIES:
The supplies I have listed below are affiliate links from Ellen Hutson.com that I used in my project.  All of the products were purchased by me with the exception of those with an asterisk.
