Pink Christmas Card

Hi everyone! I’m back on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog with this Pink Christmas card today. I’ve been having a lot of fun using non-traditional colors for my holiday cards. Are you the type that like to use traditional colors or that likes to break out of the mold?

Pink Christmas - papergrace - 11272016

The wreath is from Taylored Expressions 3 x 4″ Christmas Watercolor Panels (and right now they’re even on sale). I’m addicted to these panels. They’re awesome for beautiful watercolor projects and quick additions to a card.

I wanted to make this a Pink Christmas card because, really, it’s so unlike me. I am more apt to make a deep, dark card. Just being honest here. I don’t plan. I pick colors and patterns as I go. I’m sure that makes people nervous. But, it’s how I do things. It keeps the process more intuitive or organic for me.

I have noticed that I’ve been using pink a lot this year. I’m not sure what that means. Maybe I just need to hide the pink card stock and move on to a new color? ;)

The subtle glittery stripes are created by using the Home & Hobby Premium Double Sided 1″ Permanent Tape with clear glitter burnished on top. This effect is beautiful. And all of the lovely sequins are adhered with the Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini.

More of the process for making this card is on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog post for today with additional photos and supply information, so I hope that you’ll check it out.

Enjoy your day!

Blog Hop with Lawn Fawn Day 2

lf-sbaby3l-hop-9-16

Yay!! The Design Team of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® is taking part in a Blog Hop with Lawn Fawn this week! And today is day TWO! Make sure to visit the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog AND the Lawn Fawn Blog each day for a chance to win prizes and to be inspired by the designers for each team. (Even me.)

The card I made above, for the Blog Hop with Lawn Fawn, uses beautiful patterned paper from the Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack. And also the sweet Let’s Polka In the Meadow Collection Pack. It’s still super hot here in Nevada, so the beautiful colors in these collections reminds me of a desert sunset OR sunrise.

I, personally, love Big Hugs! How about you? :)

Use the Big Scripty Words Lawn Cuts and die-cut the word “Big Hugs”. Adhere the die-cut using the Adhesive Sheets 4×6″. Stamp the birds from the Big Scripty Words  stamp set, color with watercolors, then die cut using the matching dies. Add dimension to the birds with 3D Foam Squares – White Mix.

Attach the sequins using the Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini. They stay in place perfectly with no glue or tackiness showing through. The E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser is my very favorite adhesive to use for flat surfaces and that’s what I used to adhere the white cardstock to the card base, and the plaid paper to the white cardstock.

Please don’t forget there’s a giveaway with our Blog Hop with Lawn Fawn so be sure to comment every day for your chance to win.  And check out the Lawn Fawn blog for TONS more inspiration.

I have some of the supplies used in the project above, linked below. Some affiliate links are used.

Enjoy the rest of today’s Blog Hop With Lawn Fawn and make sure to scroll UP for my SECOND post of today!! #TexturalTuesdays ! I’m getting Fuseable. ;)

Hello Sunshine

Happy Saturday! I have this pretty Hello Sunshine card up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today. It features one of my favorite products: pigment powders.  They are so versatile and can add shimmer and shine in a variety of ways.

Here is a peek at the Hello Sunshine card that I made for the blog today:

LisaAdametz-HelloSunshine-0827-2016-blog

Use Distress Inks (or a similar water reactive dye ink) to create the base colors for the center sun ray by sponging on with a mini-ink blending tool and using water to “bleach” certain areas of color off.

Mix water with the pigment powder to create a very wet, shimmery mixture. Dip a paintbrush into the mixture and tap over the surface to create a splatter. When lightly dabbed off, this can create a bleached effect. Heat dry or allow to heat set. Do this for each pigment powder.

A focal piece such as this Sun Ray (Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Silver Linings by Julie Ebersole) is very easy to create, can be done using so many different colors, and with many different dies as well. And cheering someone up with a “Hello Sunshine” card could be just what they need when they need it most.

More information about this Hello Sunshine card may be found on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog . Thanks!! :)

Floral Hello Card

Happy Thursday! I’m on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog with this Floral hello card today. I’m using a bunch of pretty floral patterned papers, oodles of dies, and luscious adhesives.

The blues and yellows just play off each other on this floral hello card so beautifully, don’t you think? The rustic-looking flowers are created very simply using the Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Girlie Grunge Pennant set and your favorite rolled flower dies.

The “Hello” is from a new stamp company called Right At Home Stamps and this set is called Script Greetings. I just adore the font so much.  Embossing the sentiment in gold really makes it pop, yet ties it together with the yellow.

There is a full tutorial (with step-by-step instructions) for this pretty floral hello card on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today.  If you’d like to make a card like this for yourself, going to the blog is a great place to start! By using a different selection of patterned paper and a new mix of floral dies it would give this floral card a completely fresh and new look. Mixing florals and patterns is a sure fire way to make a card “pop” .

Have a wonderful Thursday…it’s almost FRIDAY! :)

Thanks a Latte

I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today with this Thanks a Latte card featuring some really awesome Donna Salazar products!! It’s so fun using mixed media products on cards and Donna has a great line of products with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. Twine, tissue tape, pigment powders, ribbons, a denim art journal and so much more! Check out her full line HERE.

The Thanks a Latte stamp set with the coffee cup and sentiment is part of a set : Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, Oh Frappe.  Being the coffee lover I am, it’s one of my favorites. ♥ I want to use it every day. But, that would be weird.

If you have a coffee lover in your house? This stamp set and coordinating die-set is a MUST have!

Here’s my little sneak peek of today’s card, with the full tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l® blog.

LisaAdametz-ThanksLatte-05272016-Blog-2

It’s late at night and just “typing” typing the word latte makes me crave coffee…I AM SO BAD!! Hahha!!

Anyway! This card has a lot of super cute elements going on. The patterned paper is from Pebbles and is really fun. I used a die-set from Pretty Pink Posh to make the scalloped circle. I just adore it so much!  The coffee cup itself was water-colored. Wait…I’m giving all my secrets away! ;)

I really do hope that you’ll enjoy this card as much as I had fun MAKING it. I can’t wait to give it to my friend with a Starbucks gift card to tell her… “Thanks a Latte”. :D Now go grab a coffee.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lisa Sig
