Chalkboard Canvas

Today is a two post day! First up is a Chalkboard Canvas for the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® blog. Lots of texture-y goodness on this creepy canvas.

October seems to be the month for showcasing Halloween projects and, as I state over and over, while I dislike Halloween the projects are fun to make. This one was no exception. The Chalkboard Paint on the canvas provided the perfect backdrop for all the other textural accents. And after adding a super spooky rub-on and some scary text it’s a perfect home decor item, too!

This Chalkboard Canvas was very easy to make and using all of the other Textural Accents was a lot of fun, too. I love it when projects like this come together. Be sure to check out the full post on the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® Blog for the step-by-step tutorial and photos.

I hope that you enjoy this piece as much as I did and go on over to see how I made it. :)

Hi there my friends! I’ve been crazy busy lately, but I’m so excited to share this Soar! card on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog today. I’m using a bit of a technique or inspiration that I picked up from watching the amazingly talented Jill Foster on her video HERE (<– click).

I used one of the the new stencils to trace inside of the image with a black Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencil to get my design. That was my starting point. I didn’t color my image as Jill did as you can see in my sneak peek is below!

LisaAdametz-Soar-4These stencils are so fun and there are TEN beautiful designs in each pack. And I always love coming up with different quotes or little words like “Soar!” instead of a stamped sentiment.

The metallic trend is also so hot right now and the new line of Texture Luxe pastes are so perfect for a card like this, too. We have an amazing line of metallics! Pens, pastes, pencils, AND Gelatos®!

So, please stop by the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog to see the full post and the full reveal of my Soar! card. I have a full step-by-step tutorial so you can make your own card, too. :)

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Mixed Media Decor

Two Posts? Back-to-back?! Shocking, I know!! ;) But, I have a really cool mixed media decor piece on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog today. It’s a neutral decor piece on MDF (medium-density fibreboard). Working with the Textural Accents and finding ways to Mix and Match the products is just so fun!

Here’s a little sneak peek of the post. :) It’s verrrry sneaky.

I hope that the super-sneaky-stealthy pic makes you want to see what I have in store for you over on the Design Memory Craft® Blog.

And, I’m thinking of doing a quick YouTube video on showing how to use Paper Crafter Crayons™ (yes, I use them on this piece). Thoughts?
