Hey everyone! I’m super excited today because I have this amazing 3D Poinsettia to share with you today. This project is also for the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® Design Team so the full project is on their blog with step-by-step photos and instructions.
I was inspired to make this project because of this stunning Crepe Paper Poinsettia by my friend, Amanda Coleman.
And since she’s the amazing person she is, she allowed me to use the pattern for her leaves to make my OWN leaves for my felt 3D Poinsettia. It sure made my process so much easier. Even though it still took a long time! This is one of those project you need to be fully committed to. (I burned my fingers AND lost a fingernail!!)
Of course, this is kind of a sneak peek of the project. For the full reveal you’ll want to head over to the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® BLOG and see how the 3D Poinsettia all came to be. ;)
And be sure to go to Amanda’s blog and drool over her creations, too. She is CRAZY talented.
Supplies are listed on the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® Blog. Other items used are listed below:
Merry & Bright Die – Essentials by Ellen
Cozy Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad
May Arts String by the Spool, Natural Burlap
Hero Arts Mixed Accents, Earth
Also used, cheesecloth (from the grocery store :) )
Hey! I have a new card on the YES Blog today. It features the Starter Set from Your Everyday Stamps. I used a lot of paper from the Open Book Collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper to make the card. And then I designed the card as if I were asking my sweetie out on a date. :)
Kinda cute, huh? I love that the Starter Set can be used not *just* for invitations but for cards, too. Just gotta think outside the box a little. And I’m a total outta the box thinker. :D
Come check out the close-up on the blog and all the other projects, too.
Happy Thursday! I have a watercolored poppy to share with you today.
Water coloring seems to be quite the craze these days, but if you’ve been thinking about getting a few watercolor pencils then I hope that the DT of Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® can help. :) Three of us (Rita, Tiffany and myself) seem to be on the same wavelength using these awesome pencils for our posts. Can’t blame us. They’re really wonderful.
Which brings me to my card. It’s a watercolored poppy. Not traditional poppy colors, but hey…I took “artistic license”. :)
This awesome stamp is brought to you by Technique Tuesday and it’s called Budding Poppies. I’m a bit of a poppy “freak”. I can never have enough poppy stamps. I could happily color these all day long. :) It’s true!
So, on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Blog today I’m showing you how I made the above Watercolored Poppy card using just a few Art GRIP® Watercolor Pencils, the stamp, one of the new stencils, and a couple of other supplies. Pop over and check out the tutorial. I’d love to see you over there, too. ♥
