Happy 2017

Happy 2017!! Wait what? Okay so, it’s not quite 2017 YET! But I did make a very cool Happy 2017 card that’s on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today. You really should check it out.

Let me show you a very quick peek at the card. And then you have to head over to their blog to get all of the nitty-gritty details on how I made it. Sound good?

The stamp set and die are both from Essentials by Ellen and are called Advent (designed by Julie Ebersole). All of those  luscious sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

For close ups of this card, please head over to the Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L® blog. Using the Keepsake Envelopes make any card special and can be used in so many amazing ways.

I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017.

Mixed Media Monthly Mid Month Inspiration

Happy Thursday! Today is all about the Mixed Media Monthly Mid Month Inspiration post on the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. Wow!! That’s a mouthful, isn’t it?

Normally we are a one post per month challenge. Or usually so. However, this month, due to the generosity of Canvas Corp Brands, we are also doing a Mid Month Inspiration. Lots of ways to get YOU excited about our Rustic Challenge.

The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Rustic
If you’re looking at my card below and scratching your head saying to yourself, “That doesn’t look very rustic”. Well, I would have to agree with you — to a point.

For this card I used a collection of Canvas Corp Brands paper that utilizes a beer theme on a muted background. I also used a recipe card. Downloading a free PDF for a beer mug to make the shaker was the most difficult part of the card. For the actual shaker portion of the card Keepsake Envelopes from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® came to the rescue! It’s filled with a variety of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Wood Sheets

Hi everyone! I have a new #texturaltuesdays post in the CLASSroom today for Ellen Hutson using awesome wood sheets. These sheets are SO COOL and so versatile! The wood sheets can be die cut, embossed, and they’re all self adhesive. They come in a variety of colors and styles. The wood comes in self adhesive tapes and envelopes, as well.

What I made today is a card using the wood sheets with a shaker element using the Keepsake Envelopes by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. I also stamped and  die cut some butterflies using the coordinating stamp and die set Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps & Designer Dies, Up the Happy by Julie Ebersole.

The shaker portion is so easy with the Keepsake Envelopes! Just fill…and stick. Can’t get much easier than that. :D Those are MY kind of shaker card. I usually reinforce the top with a few staples. Nothing worse than seeing sequins flying all over the house, but maybe you’re into that?

Here’s a peek at my card:

As usual, for the full post I’d LOVE for you to go to the CLASSroom and see my tutorial to see how I made the card.  All the supplies that I used for the card are listed below.

And, in the interest of fairness, the inspiration for the design of my card came from THIS card by my dear friend Heather Pulvirenti. She is wicked talented and I am constantly in awe of her talent. Please visit her blog and look at all her amazing work. She’s FABULOUS!!! ♥

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Enjoy your week…check out those WOOD SHEETS!! ;)

New Shaker Card

Hey there and happy Saturday! I have a new shaker card up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today that I hope y’all will mosey on over and check out. It’s not your “typical” shaker card in that I didn’t go crazy with all of the adhesive foam and layer it all up to make it. Nope! I used our awesome and fun Keepsake Envelopes to make this beauty.

I’ll let ya in on a little secret…(don’t tell anyone…) I’m shaker card illiterate. It’s true. My one attempt was NOT that great. So making them using the Keepsake Envelopes is a dream come true. On their blog I give a little tutorial on how I made my NEW shaker card so I hope you’ll check out the full post. But, here’s a close up for you:

And those rolled flowers? Dreamy, huh? The gorgeous Birthday sentiment is from the Wish Big set by Essentials by Ellen.  I hope you enjoy the card today and have a wonderful weekend.

Mother’s Day Card

Hi everyone! I have a Mother’s Day Card over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today. I know, I know…it’s not Mother’s Day anymore. But, it’s a pretty card and I thought I could (and would) share it even though it’s one day later. :)

My card is inspired by one of my teammates on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog, Michele Kovack. She is a super mom, crazy talented, and is one heck of a photographer, too. I wish I had her kind of stamina!

Here is a peek at my Mother’s Day Card:

I’m rotten, huh? ;)

I really want you all to check out the card on the blog. It’s actually quite pretty as is Michele’s inspiration card, too.

I hope that you all have a WONDERFUL day! More fun to come later in the week so stay tuned. :)
