Fuse-Able Thank You

Wow! Busy day! I’m also on The CLASSroom Blog today with a #TexturalTuesdays post and a cool Fuse-able Thank You card that I made using the We-R-Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Fuse-able Thank You

My Fuse-Able Thank You card was really fun, but took me forever to make. This tool gets extremely hot. Like a glue gun where you scream and your fingers are instantly welded together. (Ask me how I know.)  Or maybe it’s just me that screams like a small child with hot tools? (Please tell me I’m not the only one.)

Anyway, I would suggest watching a plethora of videos before even thinking of starting with the We-R-Memory Keeper Fuse Tool. If my card looks vaguely familiar? It’s because I CASE’d Julie Ebersole’s amazing card from YouTube HERE <— (click). Not gonna lie. Her brilliance blew my mind and I loved the way she used the patterned paper and went from there. That Julie is one creative chica!

Without scorching my fingers off I even made a teensy pocket for a few glittery hearts. A hole was punched and baker’s twine was threaded through to attach the small pocket to the larger one.

I can see a lot of variations of the above card, especially for Christmas. How fun would that be? Even making a small version for a little something special for each card. I LOVE that idea!! I might have to start now as I’m a renowned procraftinator. ;)

All of my supplies are listed below and these are affiliate links for Ellen Hutson.com. I thank you, in advance, if you shop through any of my links.

Mixed Media Monthly Mid Month Inspiration

Happy Thursday! Today is all about the Mixed Media Monthly Mid Month Inspiration post on the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. Wow!! That’s a mouthful, isn’t it?

Normally we are a one post per month challenge. Or usually so. However, this month, due to the generosity of Canvas Corp Brands, we are also doing a Mid Month Inspiration. Lots of ways to get YOU excited about our Rustic Challenge.

The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Rustic
If you’re looking at my card below and scratching your head saying to yourself, “That doesn’t look very rustic”. Well, I would have to agree with you — to a point.

For this card I used a collection of Canvas Corp Brands paper that utilizes a beer theme on a muted background. I also used a recipe card. Downloading a free PDF for a beer mug to make the shaker was the most difficult part of the card. For the actual shaker portion of the card Keepsake Envelopes from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® came to the rescue! It’s filled with a variety of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Floral Hello Card

Happy Thursday! I’m on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog with this Floral hello card today. I’m using a bunch of pretty floral patterned papers, oodles of dies, and luscious adhesives.

The blues and yellows just play off each other on this floral hello card so beautifully, don’t you think? The rustic-looking flowers are created very simply using the Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Girlie Grunge Pennant set and your favorite rolled flower dies.

The “Hello” is from a new stamp company called Right At Home Stamps and this set is called Script Greetings. I just adore the font so much.  Embossing the sentiment in gold really makes it pop, yet ties it together with the yellow.

There is a full tutorial (with step-by-step instructions) for this pretty floral hello card on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today.  If you’d like to make a card like this for yourself, going to the blog is a great place to start! By using a different selection of patterned paper and a new mix of floral dies it would give this floral card a completely fresh and new look. Mixing florals and patterns is a sure fire way to make a card “pop” .

Have a wonderful Thursday…it’s almost FRIDAY! :)

Felt Flower

Hey there! It’s another #texturaltuesday over on the CLASSroom blog for Ellen Hutson, LLC and I’ve made a super cool Felt Flower on a canvas that I hope that you’ll check out. The link is right HERE <—.

Today’s project is a feature that all the Ellen Hutson designers are doing this week and that is to work with felt in their projects. It was really fun! I always love making felt flowers and the canvas that I made for today is certainly no exception.

Here is a look at the canvas with the felt flower.

Felt Flower

The die for my flower is from Memory Box (it is the Plush Ranunculus) and the felt is from Taylored Expressions (the assorted yellow -orange).

Making projects like this is so much fun! I was able to get super painty with the background.  And, though I got carried away with the sequins, I really like how this turned out. The big, bold felt flower really makes this small canvas so happy.

The full tutorial and *tons* of photos for how I made this canvas is over on the CLASSroom blog , so please head over there for more information or if you’d like to just see how I made the canvas.

As usual, all of my supplies are listed below.  If you have any questions on the products, please send me an e-mail or comment below. Thank you!!

Be Amazing

Hey there! I have a new card over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today that I’m calling “Be Amazing”. Why? Because of one of the little sentiment stamps that came on the Mama Elephant set that I used for the card called Organic Blooms.

I love how this card turned out. I used the stamps from Mama Elephant, all sorts of amazing adhesives (of course) from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, the die as my centerpiece from Essentials by Ellen, and the Be Amazing stamp to tie it all together.  (All products will be linked below, if any of them are not available just be put on the waitlist — which is awesome!) This panel was water-colored using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. If you don’t have even a few of these markers, I would suggest trying a small set. The Zig Clean Color Markers are pretty amazing.

Be Amazing

Using the inlaid die-cut like this is a beautiful way to draw the eye to the center of the card. It is also a great way to use the entire focal piece without getting rid of all your hard work!

To see alternate views of this “Be Amazing” card, please head over to the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog.  If you have any questions on how I made this card or would like to know more, please let me know. It’s been a while since I’ve made a video… ;)
