Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember

Hi everyone and happy SeptSTAMPtember® ! :) I was so VERY luck to receive a stamp set to play with from Simon Says Stamp in order to create some sneak peeks and show what I can do for their HUGE release for their month long awesomeness that is STAMPtember®.

I had a ton of fun playing with this stamp set which is called You’re So Sweet.  Here’s a pic of the full set and you’ll see more from me throughout the month using the set, too.

And here is the card that I created with this yummy stamp set!

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used a bunch of my Gelatos® (Blood Orange, Mango, Tangerine), then stamped the oranges over it using my Stamper’s Big Brush Pen in Black #199. Then I stamped 3 more oranges and used my Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils in #’s 111, 115 & 117 (from the Yellow Set) AND the Gelato® in Blood Orange to watercolor the oranges. The combination of colors really made the colors POP! I added just a dot of white to the centers using the Stamper’s Big Brush Pen in white (#101)

The oranges were popped up using the small, black 3D foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and attached to a panel of watercolor paper. Then I stamped the sentiment and a sweet little heart using a black pigment ink (onto vellum cardstock) and I heat set that with a clear embossing powder. I wrapped it around the card front and adhered the whole darned thing. :) I colored the inside of the heart with the watercolor pencils (breaaaathhhe) and added some dash lines. That’s it!

There are a lot of possibilities with this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and I’m so happy that I got to play with it. I hope I’ve given you a few ideas, too.

STAMPtember® is sure to inspire from so many artists from near and far! Stay tuned to their BLOG

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Dimensional Window Card

Hey there! Happy Sunday. :) I have a fun dimensional window card on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today.  It even comes complete with a snazzy tutorial that I made just for you…yes, YOU! :)

I wish you all could see just how cool this card is. The inside of the card fits perfectly into the front of the card. And the vellum sentiment doesn’t interfere in the slightest. It’s just so lovely. I may be a tad proud. Although, my photography skills are sorely lacking. Sorry. And…apparently I’m a vellum addict.

Anyway! Thanks for joining me today to see the window card I made. Tomorrow starts the Graphic 45 and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop that’s going on all week long. It’s going to be awesome. I’ll be up on Wednesday, but be sure to stay tuned all week long for giveaways!

Hi! I have a really fun and funky card on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today.  I made it just in time to celebrate Independence Day. Yay!!

In our house we love the 4th of July. We get the best seats in the house for the fireworks as there is a college and a golf course very close by that put on shows and we get to see BOTH! It’s awesome.

But, it’s not just that. Every day I’m just thankful to be an American. I take my rights and my freedoms very seriously. And I think that a day like Independence Day should be celebrated, but we should also remember what we’re celebrating and why. We tend to forget these things and neglect to teach our children the importance of history.

So enjoy my super cute card. :) But don’t forget to raise your flag on the 4th. And maybe say the Pledge of Allegiance, if you remember it. And then come back here and look at my cute card again. Hahha! Okay, okay…I know I’m pushing it. I wish you all a wonderful week and a healthy, happy holiday.

Moxie Fab Thanks!

You have reached my stop on one of the most amaaaaazing blog hops ever – A blog hop to say Thank You to Cath Edvalson and her Moxie Fab self for 8 1/2 years of awesomeness. You should have come to my blog from Laura O”Donnell’s blog HERE.

Moxie Fab Banner 4 (1)

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about one of the most influential, fun, awesome, amazing, talented, fun (did I say that already? lol!!), and absolutely one of the sweetest women in all of craftendom (yes, I just made up a word).

Now, I’m going to say that I’m one of THOSE people who has never been published. I’m not famous. No one has ever heard of me, well except for a small few of you…but I’m okay with that. (Or at least my therapist says to keep telling myself that.)  But, that being said Cath has always made it a point to give me words of encouragement. She’s said “hi” and chatted at events that I’ve been fortunate enough to attend.  And even when I tried my hand at her beloved Moxie Fab challenges her comments always made me smile – even though I didn’t win.  She’s just THAT sweet! You all know what I mean. ♥ The woman  oozes awesomeness!

When she announced in her column Moxie Fab World that she’d be stepping away from PaperCrafts mag and her role on the editorial team, my heart dropped. But, moving on means change and change can be exciting and wonderful. And I sure do wish Cath all things wonderful, exciting, happy, and full of all the love that she’s shared with the papercrafting community for the past 8 1/2 years. Dearest Cath, we will ALL miss you in this papercrafting community, but we wish you love in wherever life takes you.

Now that you’ve seen (and read) my personal tribute to the amazing Cath, you’ll want to make sure to  go to the next stop on this FABULOUS hop to my sweet, wonderful, and insanely talented friend, LAURA BASSEN .  (◄–click)

Here is the MASSIVE link love of all those hopping today and sharing our tributes to Cath. I’m stop #56, so feel free to start back at the top if you get lost or move on from here to Laura’s as linked above. (she’s awesome).  :)

PS – In an effort to keep my post relatively short(ish) I’ll post all of my card supplies tomorrow. xoxo

I haven’t been around too much lately because I totally lost my crafty mojo. I HATE when that happens. It makes me sad.

But, I got some stuff in the mail this month that I kinda forgot I ordered and one thing was this die I’ve been wanting since it came out so I thought I’d try to play with it maaaaaybe make something. So I made a super simple card. Okay, well, simple to me anyway. I tried to make a different card first and that was a major fail. Then I went back to what is comfortable to me…mixed media.

And I just wanted to say, well, Hello.

Thanks for stopping by today. And, I hope that I’ll have more inspiration soon. I’ve been taking an amazing class that’s been leaving me just ITCHING to create. Stay tuned. ;)
