Hey there! It’s Ink Week over on the CLASSroom blog for Ellen Hutson and I’m so lucky to be able to feature Distress Inks on this #TexturalTuesday.
I had so much fun making this card. Lots of ink blending and the addition of Texture Paste. Very textural.
Let me show you the card and then tell you a little bit more about Ink Week.
Using the gold to bring out the colors underneath was something I’m hoping I pulled off. To me, being able to see the full image isn’t important, but to make the card/colors/imagery make you feel something. I hope that makes sense. This is one of the reasons I love mixed media so much. It’s not what you necessarily see, but what you feel that’s important.
For how I made the card, all of the details are on the CLASSroom blog. There are lots of photos and information for you, if you’d like to replicate the card.
Ellen is also doing a full-on Ink Week! All of the designers are featuring a different ink and how we use them in our posts. Not only that, she is running a wonderful promotion.
Click on the image above to be taken directly to the sale. I hope that you’ll take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to stock up on your inks!
This Ink Week is going to feature a lot of different ways to use your inks and many different styles so stay tuned for the whole week.
I’m including all of my supplies below for my project, some were purchased by me and some were provided for promotional purposes. These ARE affiliate links so if you choose to shop using the links below I do earn an itty-bitty commission from your purchase. This keeps me running! xo
Hi there crafty friends and welcome to #TexturalTuesdays and Hedgehugs! :) Otherwise known as the first #TexturalTuesdays of 2017.
It’s going to be a fun one today as I share a card made using Avery Elle products made by Heather Campbell who is also a designer for Ellen Hutson. She is so amazing.
This card I made for #TexturalTuesdays is using tons of color mediums: Copic markers, Zig Clean Color Markers, and Distress Inks!! All on one card. And I *think* I pulled it off. ;) As I sold most of my Copics? This was way out of my comfort zone, but I still did it. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns. I knew in order to give the hedgie the perfect quills, the Copic markers would be the best way to go.
For all of the behind the scenes action on the card, I urge you to check out the CLASSroom blog for my #TexturalTuesdays and Hedgehugs card. You’ll read more about how this card was created and see more photos, as well.
All of the supplies for this card are listed below. As I am an affiliate for Ellen Hutson, I do receive a small, teeny tiny, itty-bitty commision for anything you purchase through me. And I thank you in advance. It keeps my blog semi working (ha!) and bug free. ♥
Wishing you all a wonderful day! xo
Hey! It’s the last #TexturalTuesdays post in the CLASSroom for Ellen Hutson before Christmas and All That Glitters is the card I made today. :)
Today’s card features some beautiful glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Distress Glitter, and Glitter Tape to make a “present”. Super easy and super fun!
Most people tend to think of using glitter as messy. Using glitter in this way leaves it feeling almost velvety smooth with almost no fallout. And so incredibly shiny!
The full tutorial for this All That Glitters card is on the CLASSroom blog, so I encourage you to check it out for further photos, steps, and ideas.
The stamp set that I have used is an exclusive to Ellen Hutson.com and is part of the Holiday 2016 Release. It is called Season to Sparkle and it was designed by über talented Julie Ebersole. If you are interested in any of the products that I used to make today’s card I always try to list them below. (They are affiliate links and I will make a small commission from each purchase that you make through me — thank you. ♥ )
So many things to wrap up before Christmas gets here…oops! Bad pun! But I hope that you enjoy today’s card and will head over and check out the full post to really see how I made the card today.
Thank you as always for taking the time to stop by. xo
Today I have a Noel Card featuring Taylored Expressions for #TexturalTuesdays on The CLASSroom blog for EllenHutson.com . I absolutely ADORE so many of the wonderful products I was able to use for this card. Especially the Watercolor Panels! So fun!
The panels are 3″ x 4″ and there are 12 to a pack and are so affordable. They’re available for so many occasions, too. I may have to hoard them. Just sayin’. ;)
I love that using a simple die, some felt and watercolors turned this into a beautiful card.
I can see myself using the die for this Noel Card a lot. I just love the design. And the cardstock that Taylored Expressions has is just so luscious, as well. 100# and in so many beautiful colors. I want them ALL!! :D
Check out their fun sequins selections, too, while you’re there. And NOW through November 12th there is 15% off of all in stock Taylored Expressions products so now is DEFINITELY the time to shop. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my fun Noel Card today! If you want to shop? Then please check out my affiliate links below. ♥
Hey there! It’s #TexturalTuesdays over in The CLASSroom and I have a new post showing how to Make Your Own Stencil. In my post I simply use Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies and acetate. So super easy.
I made the card below using the stencil I created from acetate, the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Holiday Words by Julie Ebersole ,with a little texture paste, and some glitter for shimmer.
Please be sure to check out the post in The CLASSroom for the full details on how to Make Your Own Stencil (and please don’t be mad when you see how easy it is. HAHHA!!) The great thing about using your favorite dies is that the possibilities are endless.
To give the card added texture, the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Stitches Cover Plate by Julie Ebersole was used on a piece of Bazzill Card Shoppe Wax Lips Cardstock and the edges were then distressed. I love doing this.
The key in making anything? Is to make what you love. Same goes with stencils, I suppose. And I had a great time making this card. I hope it shows. ♥
Thank you SO much for joining me today and for checking out my how-to in The CLASSroom. I do appreciate every one of you. xo
All of my supplies are listed below, which are affiliate links to Ellen Hutson.com. So, IF you do shop through these links? I do earn an itty-bitty commission. ;)
