Thankful

There is also a Grand Giveaway in The CLASSroom! To enter, be sure to leave a comment there, and at every stop along the hop by August 11th, 2015; winners will be announced by the weekend! ** please see disclaimer at the bottom of the post. **

Here’s a look at TWO of the cards that I created for this super special hop. This first card uses the Thankful stamp set (and matching dies – sold separately)

LisaAdametz-Thankful4You-1

For this card I stamped the images using Archival Ink and water-colored the images prior to die-cutting them. I love using different shades of watercolor pencils to create depth and shadows. I use my fingers, a rag, or paper towel to blend or pick up color.

To give the pumpkin and gourds extra dimension I applied different layers of foam squares behind them. The square panel was created by die-cutting first, then using a stencil and Gold Texture Luxe™ with a palette knife.

The sentiment is stamped with an embossing ink and then heat set with a gold embossing powder for extra shine.

For my next card I use the beautiful new set Mistletoe & Holly (and again the matching die set).

LisaAdametz-BeMerry-1

I stamped the background first using an embossing ink and heat set with a white embossing powder. Then I created the rest of the background using a variety of metallic Gelatos®. To create depth I, again, used the watercolor pencils. Using the Stamper’s Big Brush Pens around the Poinsettia’s while the paper is damp will also give it depth and dimension.

Adding teensy amounts of liquid glue to the centers of the poinsettias allowed me to add some beautiful Cranberry Glitter Ritz Glitter. It’s soooo pretty!

I love to add stamping to heavy-weight vellum, so this is where I decided to add my sentiment. It also allows for some of the background to show through. Using a platinum embossing powder as opposed to silver is a nice change.

Stamping an additional poinsettia and some leaves (and die-cutting them) to use as an embellishment along with some sequins finishes off this card.

I hope you like both of my cards! I had so much fun creating them.

Your next stop on this AWESOME hop is the amazingly talented Sandy Allnock!
