December 2018 – Essentials by Ellen

Yay!! It’s a new month and a new release from Ellen Hutson! This one may be one of my faves EVER!! It is just so much fun. And there are SO many amazing options.  I think it will be your favorite release, too. Maybe until the next one. Hahhahaha!!

Here is my card:

This card was so much fun to make. I used the Letterboard set, the Letterboard Larger Alpha, and the Letterboard Script 1.  These sets are interchangeable and they just require your imagination. How perfect would these be for an invitation, a quote, or something humorous to brighten someone’s day? Pinterest is full of Letterboard ideas and inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by today! 💕

All of my supplies are listed below. And, as usual, compensated affiliate links used when possible.

Cat Lady

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing purrrfectly amazing this Tuesday.  I’m sure that if any of you are a big fan of the Ellen Hutson, LLC Leading Ladies designed by the fabulous Brandi Kincaid  😊 you are not surprised at the card I’m posting today.  It was out of stock furever…even for ME!! So no special treatment here folks. Lol!

I am a HUGE cat lover. I’ve had 4 cats. I still have 2 cats in California, but when I moved back to Nevada I made the best decision (and least traumatic) for them to leave them with my former boyfriend. They are being well loved and are in a happy place. My kitty here in Nevada, Millie,  🐱  is a frequent fixture on my Instagram. (@papergrace) And, if any of you know me personally, then you know she is quite the talker. She’s a funny one.

My card today is, of course, featuring the Essentials by Ellen, Leading Ladies, Cat Lady Clear Stamp & Designer Die set designed by Brandi Kincaid.

I just love her so much!!! 😍 And the patterned paper from Reverse Confetti brings a smile to face. ALL of my coloring is done with colored pencils. I’m absolutely NOT a pro with them, but I really enjoyed the process of learning to use them. They are so much harder than I thought they would be. But, it was really satisfying, too.  There was one kitty that I just totally screwed up. :(  Oh well. Mistakes happen!

Here is a little close-up for you:

I hope that with practice I’ll get much better.  Are any of you pencil colorers? I’d love to hear some of your tips!! Please leave them in the comments below.  As usual, I have my supplies listed below and linked to shop for your convenience.  Wishing you a PAW-some day! 🐾

Pretty Pink Posh Watercolored Wild Roses

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! Just thought I’d share a little card I made using some products from one of my very, very, VERY favorite people on Earth today. And that’s Pretty Pink Posh. Not only is Paulina just NICE, but her stamps/dies and embellishments are some of the best around.

Paulina and I go waaaaay back. Before she even started her own company. I first met her at a CHA when she was working the DeNami booth for her mom. I was there with Kelly Marie Alvarez of Lawn Fawn (before Lawn Fawn existed!!) and we were just scoping things out. It was fantastic. Meeting and hugging Paulina was such a highlight for me. She is 100% as nice in person as she seems on the Internet.  We’ve stayed friends ever since.

So! That brings me to today’s card. I’m using her gorgeous Wild Rose Stamp and Die set along with some of her amazing sequins. I’m also using her Hello Friend die that I’m just using the “hello” portion of.

All of that luscious coloring was completed with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils. They are by far the best watercolor pencils out there.  I’m not even a pro at this kind of thing and they make me look good! ;)

Here’s a look at when I had just started coloring:

TONS of pigment in the pencils. that are fade resistant, and light fast. They also have unbreakable leads! What I love about this company is that they are eco-conscious and plant trees for those they remove. Gotta love that. They’re NOT cheap, but they are worth every penny and I would consider an investment.

I didn’t do much for this card other than color the images, die-cut some paper, and die-cut the images and layer them with foam squares. But I love how it turned out. It’s super pretty with that gorgeous patterned paper. And, of course, the Pretty Pink Posh sequins are just the icing on the cake.

I hope you enjoyed the card. All my supplies are listed below and are linked to shop for your convenience.

Hop for Hope

Hi crafty friends, and welcome to a very special blog hop. A hop for hope. You should have arrived at my blog from the wonderful Laurel Beard‘s blog and your next stop on this hop will be the fabulous Nichol Spohrs blog.

As many of you may or may not know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The stamp set that we are all using was designed in May to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF).  Please read the post on The CLASSroom blog to see how this beautiful stamp set all came to be and how YOU can help. –> LINK <–

This is the beautiful stamp and die set we all used:

In honor of this amazing hop, with these beautiful, brave women joined together today, I made a card! Yay!

Really simple, layered stamping with a water-colored pink ribbon. I turned my oval on it’s side for a little interest (which I thought was fun and made things flow much better).

And a close-up!

There is a lot of dimensional adhesive used to give it dimension. Sometimes that isn’t seen when looking at the card as it’s laying flat. But’ the flowers are at different heights and it’s quite fun.

All of the wonderful and talented people involved in this hop are listed below, so please stop and say hi and leave some love.
