Hi everyone! It’s December 1st and that means there’s a new challenge at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. So, the December MMMC – Silver and Gold:
And, once again, we’re being sponsored by IndigoBlu. This challenge runs from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31
Silver and Gold is so perfect for this challenge and this month as it will really let your creativity fly. So many wonderful ways to use this prompt. I was able to use one of the IndigoBlu Stamps (Madonna and Child) and the MegaFlake in Winter Dawn (part of the starter kit). I also did a watercolor background and a side panel using a stencil and some Gold TextureLuxe™.
I colored the image in very lightly using ArtGrip® Aquarelle Watercolor pencils.
I think that the December MMMC – Silver and Gold will be a very popular challenge and I hope that you all can join in. Here are the rules listed below:
* You must use our challenge graphic in your challenge post.
* You must comment on at least 3 design team member’s blogs.
* Your post must link back to the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge post
* Add a link to your direct post, not your entire blog, a YouTube Video or a Pinterest Board
* You can combine with up to 4 other challenges.
* No Backlinking allowed! Any back-linked entries will be deleted.
* You can enter up to 5 times, create whatever you want, and HAVE FUN!
It’s a Flutter By Blog Hop! Okay, well…the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Team is Blog Hopping with Lawn Fawn all week and I made the cutest card! :) So it’s really just a Flutter By Blog Hop for me. :D But we have been blog hopping ALL WEEK LONG! (Have you checked it out yet?)
I made this super cute Birthday Card using Lawn Fawn’s Flutter By stamp set and Lawn Cuts. I love how perfectly the dies work with the stamps.
Using watercolor paper to die cut the flowers, leaves, and butterfly make them perfect for all sorts of pretty techniques, too. I really love this Flutter By set so much. So very versatile. And the Scripty Sayings set is sooo super sweet, too.
And those shimmery stars? Are the new E-Z Stars Refillable from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® They are AMAZING! Can be used with embossing powders, glitters, micas…etc.
Make sure that you stop by and see the alternate views on the blog and read how I made it because there are GIVEAWAYS and you won’t want to miss out.
Hope that you all have an amazing weekend!
I’m up on the Design Memory Craft® Blog today with this really cool “Thanks a Million” card and VIDEO that I made featuring the brand new Steampunk Gelatos® set.
Everyone is loving everything you can do with watercolors, but don’t forget how you can use your Gelatos® that way too! In my video I wanted to show that you can achieve the same watercolor “blocking” technique that I’ve seen all over the place with just four Gelatos®, watercolor paper, and acrylic block …the stamp set, white embossing powder, and clear embossing ink are nice, but not MUST haves. Okay, the stamp set is a MUST have. It’s just too awesome. ;)
Anyway, sit back, relax, and enjoy my video! And don’t forget to check out the Design Memory Craft® blog for a full view of the finished card. It’s even prettier in real life with all that metallic goodness.
I hope you enjoyed it!
And don’t all rush out to buy the Gelatos® AND that stamp set. Okay, okay…go ahead. But make sure you tell them that Lisa senta ya. :)
Have a beautiful week!
