Hey everyone! I have a new card that is Crazy Awesome (heh!) up on the Ellen Hutson the CLASSroom blog today for #TexturalTuesdays. I’m using the stamp set “Crazy Awesome” by Concord & 9th and I am in LOOOOOVE with this stamp set! It’s just so stinkin’ versatile! I wish they’d come out with a die set for it. Are ya listenin’, Concord & 9th, peeps? Are ya? ;) I had such a good time making this card that I think I forgot all about making it full of texture. Whoopsie! But the colors from the Lawn Fawn paper and the markers…gahhhh….just made me swoon. Seriously!! How freakin’ happy is this card?!!?
I can see myself using this “Crazy Awesome” stamp set and trying to use a craft blade to and cut around the word and banner to attempt a shaker card and everything! I’m just loving this THAT much. (Note: the words trying and attempt.)
Enough with the wordiness. Here is the peek (or close-up) of the card:
So colorful and shiny!!! :)
The full tutorial of the card, as always, is up on the CLASSroom blog today. Complete with photos and all of my lovely words of wisdom. *ahem* I’m never shy about what works and doesn’t work for me so I’ll fill you in on that, too.
I hope you like today’s card as much as I do!
Here is a full list of my supplies if you’d like to shop with me (I’m an affiliate with Ellen Hutson and make a small percentage off of any sales through these links and DO appreciate it very much.)
I have a brand new #TexturalTuesdays card that I’ve aptly named “Fabulous You” for the CLASSroom today. Plenty of beautiful shine and subtle texture on this one today. I’ve really been enjoying using my colored pencils and may have to upgrade. Hahha!!
Here is today’s sneak peek:
Kind of a BIG peek!
The words are from Julie Ebersole’s beautiful die set Totally Fabulous and I created the word “You” from the Basic Alpha Set, to create “Fabulous You”. I thought that would be kind of fun and just a tiny bit different.
This card has two different colors of foil and patterned papers from three different companies. Stitched dies, embossing on patterned paper, inking…and all kinds of fun stuff!! If you want to see how I made it? I do have a tutorial (a wordy one) over on the CLASSroom blog today with lots of pics. ;) And I’d love it if you checked it out.
Hoping that YOU have a fabulous day!
Hey there everyone! I have a brand new #TexturalTuesdays project up over at Ellen Hutson and the CLASSroom today with an Art Journal page called “Be Your Own Hero”. I’m kind of an art journal novice, but I really want to use it as a tool to get more in touch with myself, my thoughts, my stress…all of it. It won’t all be pretty. And those pages will be just for me. But this page? I’m sharing with you. And how I went about creating it. Mixed media should not be rocket science, my friends.
I’m sharing a sneak peek, as usual. I really want you to go to the CLASSroom and checkout my process. See if this is something that you would also do. Maybe I’ll do a video next time, if you all think it would be helpful. But I want to take the frustration out of creating. I want YOU all to Be YOUR Own Hero. I’m trying to be mine. (I’m a work in progress.)
So, here’s a little peek:
It’s very important that you put your fear away. Fear will just hold you back. Create from your heart. No matter what it is. You don’t have to show anyone what you make when you art journal. I’ve been forgetting that. This process is solely for you and you alone. It can be as messy as you want it or as pretty as you want it. Write as much as you want or as little as you want.
But be you. It’s your thoughts. Your feelings. Your inner turmoil. Or complete happiness. Let it all come up. Allow the color to reflect how you feel.
Be you. And Be Your Own Hero. Save yourself. ♥
The supplies I have listed below are affiliate links from Ellen Hutson.com that I used in my project. All of the products were purchased by me with the exception of those with an asterisk.
Hey there! I’m posting this from CHA where I’m exhausted and my feet are on fire. ACK!! But, I wanted to show this super cute little mini canvas that I brought for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and is on their blog today !! It was super fun to make because it’s using a LOT of the new line from Donna Salazar. She is an amazing mixed media artist that I just adore and she has such passion for what she does. I am so thrilled that she has partnered with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®.
So here’s a little peek of what’s on their blog. Aaaaaand…if you happen to be at CHA? You can pop over to booth # 755 and see my little mini canvas in person!! How cool is that?!
I really love the texture and dimension if this mini canvas. It’s only 6″ x 6″ square. Perfect for creating without getting overwhelmed. Don’t forget to go to the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog to see the full project photo and more information.
I’d love to meet you if you ARE at the trade show tomorrow or early Tuesday. Let me know here in the comments or on my Facebook page. Link is on the right hand side over there —>>>
Have great day and I hope to have some kind of round up when I get back
Happy Veterans Day! Today is a day that I salute and thank ALL veterans before me (and after me) who served and sacrificed to protect this beautiful country that I call home. Without you all I doubt we’d still be this great nation. It’s not always perfect here, but I’d never want to live anywhere else and I am so proud to be an American.
I am on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog today with a card that I’m just so proud of. I hope that you’ll like it, too. All of the details for the card are on the blog. Click HERE.
So, to celebrate this very Happy Veterans Day, I want to say to all of the Veterans out there…You are MY hero. Thank you for standing in the face of adversity, for having the courage to hold your hand up and swear to defend our Constitution, for being brave (always), and for being the face of freedom. God bless you all. ♥
Happy Veterans Day to you all.
