Happy Monday! I have a new post over on the Bloom Girls Design Team blog today!!
I’m using one of Jamie’s Bloom Girl stamps, Sophie, all done up for Christmas. I know!! Christmas?!! So soon!! Where has the year gone? But, here it is, almost Thanksgiving and we’re busy designing cards for the holidays.
The Bloom Girls Design Team will have our cards featured on the Prima blog this week for their 12 Cards of Christmas so make sure that you check out their blog this week, as well. It will be filled with inspiration from all of the very talented designers.
Back to my card for today! Here she is. :)
Even though this is a pic of the FULL card, I’d still loooooooove for you to stop by the blog to see the full post and the close-ups. I’m really pleased with how this card turned out. It’s such a non-traditional Christmas card. Even the papers that I used weren’t Christmas-y! Using Christmas colors is a great way to bring that holiday touch to a a maybe not-so obviously Christmas looking card.
I wish you all a fabulous week and can’t wait to hear what you all think about the 12 Cards of Christmas.
Hey crafty friends! I’m up again on the Bloom Girls Blog today with a new card that I just LOVE! I call it a Watercolor Window card because I created a teeny little window from a resin piece. Whatever is within that window is in color. Everything outside of the window is in black & white.
It’s a little tricky to explain or maybe I’m just MAKING it hard to understand. But, it’s very cool. I love seeing all the black & white in watercolor. It’s so unique. And just that POP! of color really sets the whole thing off. No other embellishments this time. Just the resin piece. It seemed like enough to me. It’s easy to go overboard, y’know?
So here’s a sneak peek at my Watercolor Window card:
And, as always, you know the full size image can easily be found by clicking the link up above or HERE (<-click).
I cannot ever thank you enough for your support and your love. So thank you for reading. Even if there’s just one of you. <3
Hi crafty friends! I hope that you’re all doing awesome this Wednesday. :) I have a post up on the Bloom Girls Design Team blog today featuring a Tag I made. I really ventured way, way out of my comfort zone on this one. Way. Hahhah!!
Whenever I use my Bloom Girls stamps I always try to think of new ways to use them and this was definitely a new way…for ME! I’m not a Copic colorer (I think that’s a word). In fact, I sold almost ALL of my Copic markers, since I mostly use my beloved Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Stamper’s Big Brush Pens for almost everything. Those or my Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils. I’m just not an alcohol marker kinda gal. Actually, all that blending? Scary stuff. Heebie-jeebies! But, I decided that with the tag I was going to make that I would use the 25 or so (maybe less) markers that I have and USE THEM!!
Here’s a peek at what I made. As always, I would love for you to please visit the Bloom Girls Design Team Blog to see the full reveal. :)
I pretty much love this Bloom Girls Tag. I really do. And it serves as a VERY important reminder to ALL of us in these crazy times… “Just Breathe”.
Enjoy the rest of your week and I hope to see you all on the UStream!
